Veg Pizza Pinwheels
The word Pizza itself makes us salivate. Isn’t it? And Pizza pinwheels …they make us drool like crazy. Who would not love mini pizzas in bite sizes filled with gooey mozzarella, pizza sauce and veggies. These chewy spirals are perfect as an appetiser for a family gathering or a party. The best part about these pinwheels are that you can bake them rightaway, no need for the rolls to rise except for the pizza dough.Baking it rightaway gives a nice chewy texture like a pizza and if you want them to be soft and spongy like a bread wait for them to rise and puff for half an hour to 45 minutes in room temperature.
I made them with my easy home made pizza dough, spread it with a flavourful store bought pizza sauce and my favourite pizza toppings of olives and jalapeños, sprinkled a handful of chilli flakes and pizza seasoning. You can add your favourite pizza toppings veg or non veg ,roll them up, cut the rolls into spirals and bake them right away. The home made pizza dough also needs a meagre 20-30 minutes to rise. These cheesy veg pizza pinwheels go to the 45 th Foodie Monday Bloghop for the theme Breads.

Preheat the oven to 200 deg C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper .In a bowl mix warm water, sugar and yeast and leave it for 5 minutes to become frothy.
Add the all purpose flour 2 1/2 Cups , salt and Oil and knead a dough with a mixer or your hands for 3-4 minutes in between adding more flour as the dough is sticky. Knead till you get an elastic smooth dough.
Keep the dough aside in an oiled bowl covered with a plastic wrap for 20-30 minutes for it to rise to double its volume.
Once risen take out the dough, roll it into a rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
Now spread the pizza sauce evenly on it leaving nearly 1 inch border at the top.
Scatter the grated Mozarella, sliced Olives and Jalapexf1os, Chilliflakes and Seasoning as shown in the pic.
Then starting from the long end near you roll up the rectangle tightly till you reach the top, pinch the dough closed along the seam.
Now with a sharp chefs knife cut the long tube into 15 equal pieces nearly 1 1/2 inch thick. Transfer the rolls to the baking sheet with the flat of your knife and space them a few inches apart as they will puff up while baking.
If you want to bake them rightaway bake them for 12-15 minutes till the cheese is bubbly and the rolls are golden on top.If you like them puffier, let them rise for 30 minutes and bake.
Cool the rolls for a few minutes before serving and enjoy them warm and cheesy.
