Besan Ladoo with Peanut butter and Chocolate drizzle
A vegan, glutenfree, healthy ladoo with a twist..Besan ladoo without Ghee and Milk ! Enjoy these Chickpea flour Peanut butter truffles with a Chocolate drizzle.
Now that sounds weird …Isn’t it? Well very much yes but the taste is not only divine but addictive too and you won’t stop at one or two for sure. I was bored of the normal Besan Ke ladoo and so tweaked the recipe by adding peanut butter instead of Ghee, infused with cinnamon and drizzled them with melted chocolate thus making it attractive, healthy as well as Vegan too. This Ganapati I am on a ladoo making spree, not the usual recipes but trying to make it interesting with my twists. And I am sure you all are going to love this Ladoo or truffle.
Back home Ganesh Puja is one or two day affair with the Visarjan ( the immersing of the idol in water) happening on the third day unlike here in western India where Ganapati is a huge and vibrant ten day celebration when a certain fever seems to grip this part of India specially Maharashtra. As the festival rolls by life seems to pause here with no stress of going back to work or schools and these 10 days are just about the festivities and how. The Ganesh idols are in various avatars with huge Pandals and elaborate feasts which has been evolving with time but the core traditions remain the same. It’s just the way the Durga puja is for us, the feverish excitement of the festivities and the deep sense of longing for its return when it’s over.
Enjoy these Besan Ladoos with a twist, a delicious fusion of east and the west, addictive to the core, healthy and vegan too!
