Ice creamy Gulkand Shake …Diwali Collab
Last year during our Rajasthan trip I had picked up few packs of Gulkand on a whim and thanks to my love for Rose flavour I have used it to my hearts content the whole year.Gulkand is basically rose petal Jam or preserve made by marinating rose petals in sugar. Its one of the best Ayurvedic medicines and has enormous health benefits apart from being delicious.
All Indian festivals are incomplete without festive sweets and delicacies and Gulkand is used extensively in lot of sweets to impart a lovely, subtle rose flavour. This Diwali I am planning to serve this sweet rose flavoured, creamy milk shake for the teetotallers. A chunk of vanilla ice cream gives a rich creaminess and the rose syrup imparts a attractive baby pink colour to this festive drink. Serve it on a platter of rose petals and a lit Diya to accentuate the festive air.
Let’s hop on to my talented friends Parinaaz’ s and Sweta’s blogs to see what festive drinks they are serving this Diwali.Click on the pics to go to their blogs.
