Peas and Cottage Cheese kebabs/Matar Paneer Kebabs(Monsoon Mania Collab)
The Monsoons have arrived in full swing and the unending spells of rain showers here in Goa have bound us to stay indoors and enjoy some quality time with our near and dear ones. The rains can interrupt our normal life but not an Indian foodie’s food cravings. A rainy evening is a reason enough to munch on crunchy crispy snacks like vadaas, pakodas, samosas, bondas, bhajiyas with a cup of steaming hot tea.
The last few days I have been satiating my family’s rainy day cravings with healthy, non oily stuff, trying my best to avoid the calorie laden deep fried snacks. This evening I shallow fried some Matar paneer kebabs as I had crumbled home made paneer lying in the fridge. Boiled peas, paneer, masalas and a little gram flour to bind them together and these healthy kebabs were ready. I coated them with sesame seeds to make them crunchy and shallow fried them to perfection. The best part was I had a few left which I used in hot dog buns with a yogurt dill dressing and a ready made sweet onion sauce with few sliced capsicums and onions.
This post I am doing a Monsoon Collaboration with the talented Parinaaz Marolia of A dollop of that! and the versatile Sweta Biswal of Oriyarasoi. Parinaaz’ s blog mostly specialises in Parsi cuisine but her forte is baking, her bakes are to die for. Sweta is not only a food blogger who mostly blogs about Odia delicacies and culture but she dabbles with fashion and book reviews too in her other blogs. Don’t forget to peep into these talented bloggers space for more monsoon recipes and do enjoy the rains with these kebabs and chai with your loved ones .
A happy monsoon!
